At the age of 26, Vandi Moore, founder of PANDA LOVE, INC. had accomplished her goals of higher education. She was excited about her next chapter in life. Upon visiting her optometrist for an annual eye exam, little did she know that her life was about to change forever. Vandi’s optometrist informed her of a terrifying discovery, and referred her to another optometrist for a second opinion. The second opinion was as certain as the first – Vandi needed an Optic MRI screening in order to reveal hidden concerns with her vision. The Optic MRI test result confirmed that there were no hidden concerns and her vision was well, but something unusual was still present. As a result, she was advised to see a neurologist regarding the test result as soon as possible.  

Three days later, the neurologist diagnosed Vandi with a brain tumor parallel to the size of a golf ball, and scheduled her for emergency brain surgery. With no symptoms of a brain tumor and the slightest time to process it all uncertainty, confusion, worry, and fear tried to settle in. Vandi felt as if hope was lost and her smile was dim. Yet, she kept repeating a Bible scripture that her family consistently reminded her of; Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.”

Awaken from surgery, she gazed the room. Vandi’s family, close friends, and medical staff surrounded her with love and prayers. Though, her eyes were locked on the stuffed panda bear that was resting in her arms – a sweet gift from her father; she felt hope and smiled. Although Vandi remained in the hospital for a week due to short-term memory loss and speech complications, her faith and hope intensified. She had an encounter with Jesus. 

As time passed, Vandi held onto the stuffed panda bear she received after her surgery and her fondness of panda bears flourished. In 2014, Vandi was sitting on the couch in her living room and God spoke to her, “People Always Need Divine Angels.” She immediately realized that those who surrounded her through challenging times were her divine angels, in humanly form.

God used a stuffed panda bear to remind Vandi of her life’s purpose – to be a vessel of His love. PANDA LOVE, INC. – to love and care for others, build hope, and restore smiles.
